Does your car's SRS airbag light stay on? The SRS light is an indicator that something is wrong with your airbag module and that it should be diagnosed and repaired. Dealerships often charge heavy prices for airbag module diagnosis and repairs, but at MyAirbags, these repairs don't have to empty your wallet. Our expert technicians will repair any broken or malfunctioning parts, perform testing and send it back within 24 hours, all for one low price.
Step 1 - Locate the SRS Airbag Module
In order to send your SRS airbag module in for expert repairs, just locate the module with these simple instructions and then remove it. On most vehicles, the SRS airbag module is located in one of three places, but your owner's manual can also help locate your specific make and model's module. Common SRS airbag module locations are:
- Under the Center console some vehicles, the SRS airbag module is located under the center console between the two front seats.
- Under the Radio on the Floor: In some models, the SRS airbag module is located on the floor, in the center of the dash.
- Under the Driver or Passenger Seat: In some makes and models, the SRS airbag module is located under the driver or passenger seat. Refer to your owner's manual for further instructions on locating the module for your particular vehicle.
Step 2 - Remove Existing Airbag Module
Once you've located your SRS airbag module, disconnect the positive battery cable and wait three minutes. Unplug the airbag control module harness wiring plugs and package your module for shipping.

Step 4: Install Repaired Airbag Module
The technicians at MyAirbags will repair your Airbag Module and mail it back to you within 24 hours of receipt. Once you receive the repaired unit, you will need to reinstall the module. Since you had your original module repaired instead of buying a new one, you will not need additional programming to link to the vehicles VIN. You just need to bolt the module back in place and reconnect the wires.
Step 5: Reconnect Battery
Make sure everything is reconnected, and then you can reconnect the battery.
Step 6: Test Airbag Module
The technicians at MyAirbags tested the module before shipping it back to you, but you will need to test it once it is back in your vehicle to ensure that everything was reconnected properly. Turn on your vehicle to make sure that the airbag light is no longer on. It is common for the light to come on for a few seconds right after the installation, but it should turn off after about 10 seconds. If the light does not turn off, you can contact the expert team at MyAirbags to troubleshoot possible installation issues that could be quickly remedied.
